She also spent a fair amount of time at the Globes trying to rewrite Tonya's biographical history.

Who is Tonya Harding? Morgan asked, pertaining to how the film seemed to have made her look like a victim.

Harding did not take kindly to being questioned by Morgan: "Thank you so much, I appreciate being on your show".

Directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Steve Rogers, the film is based on what we are told, via on-screen titles, were a series of "irony-free, wildly contradictory, totally true" interviews that Rogers conducted with Harding and her ex-husband Jeff Gillooly (masterfully rendered here by Margot Robbie and Sebastian Stan, in period-perfect makeup, hair and clothes).

With its title tongue-in-cheekily evoking "I, Claudius", another epic tale of madness and debauchery, the dramatic comedy "I, Tonya" revisits - with verve, intelligence, scathing humor and more than a touch of sadness - the freakish 1994 attack on figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, by goons associated with the camp of Kerrigan's athletic rival, Tonya Harding.

In an interview with ABC News" Amy Robach for the two-hour special Truth and Lies: "The Tonya Harding Story, which aired Thursday night, Harding claims she was innocent of planning to attack Kerrigan. "But it's my faith in myself and in my father that comes back to me and makes me get back up off my butt and be something worth being proud of", she said. A judge places her on probation for three years and orders her to pay $160,000 in fines and contributions.

All the newfound attention is pushing Harding to sharpen her skills on the ice.

In addition, she was banned for life from the U.S. Figure Skating Association.

The former figure skater will talk about the tumultuous relationship she had with both her mother, LaVona "Sandy" Golden, and her now-ex-husband Jeff Gillooly.

When asked if she had ever apologized to Kerrigan, Harding said she had multiple times.

In terms of winners and losers, Kerrigan still came out on top, but Harding's raw talent and drive deserved to be recognized in a great film since they're not likely to in any other way. Here's a man whom she credited with her involvement in a movie that has improved her life and changed the way people view her for the better.

"I am so over the glamorisation of a villain simply because she was born on the 'wrong side of the tracks, '" he snapped.
