I don't want Republicans to shut down Russian Federation investigations

Rep. Adam Schiff said Thursday that Republicans have declined to invite several witnesses that would be valuable, including Ivanka Trump and people who he says have additional information about a June 2016 meeting between Russians and the Trump campaign.

"The president again calling the Russian Federation investigation a 'Democratic hoax.'" Smith told viewers.

Moreover, Schiff said the GOP has blocked Democrats' demands to request documents and hold witness interviews about the misleading responses to the news media after the Trump Tower meeting was revealed last summer. "He left meetings where people are being interviewed, and then all of a sudden they say a story about what's going on inside the meetings".

"There are witnesses who have knowledge of the Trump Tower meeting and what it was about prior to the meeting that have not been brought before our committee", Schiff said, according to the outlet.

"We see that to be a big problem and something that should certainly be considered and looked at".

The California lawmaker denied the allegations in a CNN interview. Among the witnesses he wants to interview: Ivanka Trump, plus he says the panel should consider issuing a subpoena to Trump Jr. for information he withheld during his classified hearing previous year.

Schiff addressed Sanders' comments during an interview with Jake Tapper on CNN.

Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said Thursday that Republicans are blocking dozens of witnesses from being interviewed in the Russian Federation probe, including some who were aware of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting where Donald Trump Jr. was promised dirt on the Clinton campaign.

"They owe me an apology, but frankly it would be a wasted errand to ask for one", Schiff said on CNN.

Schiff's statements came almost a week after a Los Angeles Times investigation revealed that Ivanka interacted with Russian nationals who attended the meeting at Trump Tower in June 2016, though she reportedly did not attend the meeting herself.

Earlier this week, Sen.

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California) on Tuesday ignored the objections of her Republican colleagues on the Senate Intelligence Committee and released the full transcript of Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson's extensive congressional testimony about Christopher Steele's famous dossier on Donald Trump and Russian Federation.
