Home And Away star Jessica Falkholt's life support switched off

Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has tragically passed away after her life support was switched off one day after the funeral of her parents and sister.

News of her life support being switched off came after her family were laid to rest in Sydney - including sister Annabelle and parents Lars and Vivian. It's believed he was driving home from the methadone clinic with an investigation taking place on whether he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.

Falkholt and her 21-year-old sister Annabelle had been pulled from the wreckage after their auto collided with a four-wheel-drive vehicle near Ulladulla on Boxing Day.

Vivian and Lars were instantly killed in the crash, while the sisters' bodies were pulled from the flaming wreckage of the auto by bystanders.

Falkholt played Hope Morrison on the popular soap opera Home and Away, and the show paid tribute to her on Twitter with a simple message: "Rest in peace, attractive Jessica Falkholt".

A relative of the Falkholt family told Daily Mail Australia they had made it a priority for the constant support Jessica has received since the accident to continue during the time of the funeral.

In a Facebook tribute post Cowlick Entertainment wrote'This film will be dedicated to Jess and her family so their memory will live on and her talents are appreciated around Australia and the world

He also thanked the "saviours" who risked their lives to pull Annabelle and Jessica from the inferno.

Annabelle's best friend Brittany Macchetta said the 21-year-old had a passion for travel, art and Harry Potter. He also spoke of his anger and confusion over his family members' tragic ends, saying that "their lives on this earth ending on a highway makes absolutely no sense". Falkholt, who had just starred in her first major role as the title character in the upcoming feature film Harmony, previously played the role of Hope Morrison in 16 episodes of the popular Australian soap opera in 2016.

The crash occurred near Sussex Inlet on the NSW coast. She then filmed a role in the U.S. film Harmony, which is set for release this year.
