Square Enix has announced the release date for Final Fantasy XV's Windows Edition, as well as confirming the existence of the previously-rumoured Royal Edition for consoles.

"I think one of the biggest things [PC] players can expect is mod support", Final Fantasy XV Game Director told Rock Paper Shotgun's Brenden Caldwell at Gamescom 2017. There's a new boat, the Royal Vessel, letting you explore the waters between Cape Caem and Altissia.

All season pass content - Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades, and Episode Ignis. Once you unlock all 13 Royal Weapons, you'll be able to activate the Armiger Unleashed mode. Players will also take on the Rulers of Yore, reads a statement. The Royal Edition on PS4 and Xbox One include the same content as the Windows Edition. The Royal Edition, like the Windows Edition, will include over 20 post-launch add-ons and DLC. And a new accessory will be available that triggers an action tied to the Royal Arms in the game.

Mobile title Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia is officially coming west to iOS and Android devices. A first-person mode allows the player to play from Noctis' perspective, and the player can now go review "Cosmogony" stories that are scattered through the game world, allowing the player to learn more about the world. In addition to the details of the releases, Square Enix provided some screenshots and two new trailers, viewable below.

Final Fantasy XV did get its share of well-deserved flak when it came out.

Like the main game, Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia brings legendary heroes and villains from the Final Fantasy franchise together to do battle.

The Final Fantasy 15 Royal Edition and Windows Edition seem focused on players that missed out on the game the first time around.
