The Weeknd, Beyoncé and Eminem are all set to headline.

The full festival line-up is available to peruse on Coachella's Twitter and website.

The three-day festival returns to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA for two weekends set for April 13-15 and April 20-22.

Beyonce's last major performance before taking time off for the birth of her children, Rumi and Sir Carter, was at the 2017 Grammy Awards in February previous year. The R&B star took 2017 off from live performance after giving birth to her twins Rumi and Sir, and the Coachella announcement will further fuel rumours she is gearing up to release new material.

In a tweet posted on January 3, the One Direction member told followers that he'd "Just seen the Coachella line up" and asked, "Where the f*ck are all the bands!?" The "Formation" singer was forced to pull out in 2017 following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule. Both released their last studio albums in 2016.

While some Coachella die-hards may be baffled by the uber-urban lineup, others feel it's a natural progression for the festival that has garnered mixed reviews in recent years.

The annual musical festival that usually features a rock-heavy roster is taking a pretty big turn this year by infusing the lineup with much more diversity.
