Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on his way out of Borussia Dortmund, that's the impression Bild give in an article published on Monday evening.

Borussia Dortmund dropped star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Sunday for failing to attend a team meeting - the third time he has been disciplined by the club in two seasons.

Facing the increasingly likely possibility of losing Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United, the Gunners have turned to Aubameyang as they begin to prepare for life without the Chile global and seek to replace the most potent goal threat in their squad.

Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol confirmed that Aubameyang is a potential target to replace Sanchez. One of them they want to close and finalise is Aubameyang. "Dortmund want £60 million, Arsenal will not pay anywhere near that, but the deal is likely to drag on".

"They think they've convinced the player to join Arsenal, but of course there's still a big obstacle to beat, which is: Borussia Dortmund".

Arsenal are also heavily interested in signing Malcolm from French club Bordeaux, so this transfer window could shape up to be not so bad from Arsenal's perspective. They think he would be a flawless replacement to Alexis, and would work really well with Lacazette.

"After a bleak weekend the news that a deal for Aubameyang could be near will be music to Arsenal fans ears and we have slashed the odds on the transfer significantly", said Coral's Harry Aitkenhead.

However, his attitude at Arsenal has always been questioned and you'd strongly consider a change of scenery would do wonders for his form.

The 28-year-old's fine form in Germany has attracted interest from a number of clubs, with Arsenal reported to be keen on a January move.

Incredibly, it's young Malcom who tops most categories - with Martial and Aubameyang both contributing solid numbers. "They are optimistic - they think this is a deal that could be done".

While the fee will remain fairly modest, at around £30million, it's the players involved causing a stir. In this instance, Arsenal would have had to make a choice.

Even though Mkhitaryan hasn't played particularly well at United, I would love to see him in an Arsenal shirt, especially alongside Aubameyang.

If Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, whose contract is also expiring in the summer, were to leave the Emirates Arsenal would have a huge challenge on their hands in terms of recruitment.
