A news conference Saturday morning detailed the charges against Sherra Wright-Robinson, the ex-wife of slain National Basketball Association star Lorenzen Wright.

Sherra Wright was arrested in Riverside on Friday night and charged with first-degree murder, court records show. Lorenzen Wright's decomposed body was found in suburban Memphis on July 28, 2010 with multiple gunshot wounds.

There was a break in the high-profile cold case when the gun used to murder Wright was found in a MS lake.

Last week, a man named Billy Turner (seen at right above) was arrested in Colliersville, Tennessee, where Wright lived, and charged with first-degree murder in the Wright case.

He has pleaded not guilty.

MPD Director said Sherra Wright-Robinson has been indicted & arrested for conspiracy, criminal attempted first degree & first degree murder in the death of Lorenzen Wright. The conspiracy to commit murder charge stems from an early attempt to kill the former National Basketball Association star. "We followed the evidence and the evidence led us to Billy Turner and Sherra Wright", Major Darren Goods says.

Turner was charged in the first indictment weeks after Memphis police retrieved a gun from a lake near Walnut, Mississippi in November that they later said was the murder weapon. And then thirdly, I'm an author. Wright was shot and killed in his hometown of Memphis, and prior to the December 5 arrest of a man named Billy Turner, it seemed like the investigation had gone cold. "The law enforcement should do what's best to find out who's the killer".

It is unclear when Wright-Robinson will be extradited from California to Memphis. Wright-Robinson said she fictionalized some things and shielded identities for "legal purposes".

Wright-Robinson only added to the suspicion when she had spent nearly all of the money from the life insurance policy he took out on himself six months before his death.

The book chronicled the life of a deceitful, philandering basketball player who grows up in MS, moves to Memphis, marries an older woman and becomes a top pro draft pick.
