Stranger Things gets renewed by Netflix for Season 3

Netflix confirmed the renewal, but did not offer details about additional casting, storylines or a Season 3 premiere date. So hold tight baby darts - Season 3 is officially happening.

The news won't exactly blow anyone's minds, considering that the show has become a certified pop culture phenomenon that has elevated itself and the aggregate of the streaming giant's original content lineup into the stratosphere. No casting changes for season three have been announced yet. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer have said they plan to end the series after four seasons. The good news is that a Season 3 is coming, but, of course, we're going to have to wait a little while for it. "We're excited [to] spend more time with Max and develop her in a way...we're sort of scratching the surface on this season of what I think she's capable of".

And then towards the end of each season, they would all find out that each other knew about the mysterious situations and then they'd work together.

The Duffer brothers revealed to IndieWire that there will be a time jump - with the series focusing on the character's journeys through adolescence. And yes, the final shot of season 2 is totally teasing the new season, which suggests that things aren't going to go well for our heroes.

The first season proved to a be a big hit after receiving 18 Emmy nominations, and winning five those.
