Venture Beat said the phones would be presented at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January with an official launch to follow in March.

According to The Bell, Samsung did consider an early Galaxy S9 announcement event to counter the iPhone X. Samsung wanted to both take advantage of Apple's rumored iPhone X supply issues, the report notes, but also to prevent sales losses of its own flagships.

What is new in the leaked document the S9 may include a single lens camera on the reverse with the fingerprint sensor located underneath. It was located to the right of the lenses in the S8 and Note 8 lines, making it hard to reach for some and leaving the camera prone to smudging. This prototype was supposed to have a screen-to-body ratio of over 90%, which was also the subject of the rumors that claimed that the Galaxy S9 will have even smaller bezels than the Galaxy S8. Apart from this, there isn't much that one can expect from Samsung.

Meanwhile, new render images have emerged with the future Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), which features a phone that, if you are not careful, you could confuse it with an S8. In particular, the S9 Plus has been linked with a massive 6.5-inch display. Typically, Samsung announces new devices in March and released to the public in April, and that's what it's done in the years past.

Separately, SamMobile reported that the Galaxy S9 will sport thin bezels than its Galaxy S8.

Last month, a 3D CAD file of a device labeled as the Galaxy S9 allegedly leaked online.

It is known that the 845 will be an octa-core Kryo 385 CPU with four 2.8GHz high-power cores and four 1.8GHz low power cores. The latest mobile processor brings up to 30 per cent faster performance and is 15 per cent more power efficient. This would certainly be a major innovation, described by Samsung as a "world's first".

Meanwhile, the Samsung blogging community has already claimed that the Galaxy S9 will be made available in four distinct colors when it hits the stores.
