Jose Mourinho is reportedly still pursuing Arsenal star Mesut Ozil and has determined to make more room in the squad for introducing reinforcements.

Manchester United and Barcelona were among the favourites to sign the playmaker and it now seems that Ozil has told his friends which club he would prefer to play in after his contract runs out at Arsenal.

Manchester United and Barcelona have been linked to signing the former Real Madrid man, but it is believed that he favours a move to Old Trafford as he seeks a reunion with former boss, Jose Mourinho, according the Daily Mail.

The Germany worldwide has been heavily linked with a move to either the Nou Camp or Old Trafford in either January or next summer, with his current contract at the Emirates set to expire in just over six months.

In case you didn't know.

Both attacking talents have contracts with Arsenal that will expire at the end of the season, and talk of renewals has dominated the Emirates. The Gunners though have left an offer on the table for the player and his agent.

Ozil has turned down a £235,000 per week contract offer from Arsene Wenger, as he wishes to earn £300,000 per week, which would make him the highest paid player in Arsenal's history.

Ozil is such a joy to watch.

He said: "I'm not speaking about one or two, I'm speaking about three, four or five".

"I think it's not only very hard for the club but also for the players", he told Marca.

Ozil is interested in knowing whether Barcelona are truly interested in taking him back to Spain and is prepared to leave Arsenal in January if they want to sign him in the winter window.
