FBI Special Agent Randy Thysse said at a Lincoln news conference that investigators strongly believe a female body, found in southeast Nebraska's Clay County, is that of Sydney Loofe, who was reported missing November 16.

Police have identified two people of interest in the case: 51-year-old Aubrey Trail and 23-year-old Bailey Boswell, a single mom who went on two dates with Loofe the week she vanished.

"By their own particular explanations via web-based networking media, we trust that Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell were two of the last individuals to see her before her vanishing", Bliemeister said.

Ms Boswell and Mr Trail posted videos on social media last week proclaiming their innocence.

Susie Loofe said she knew something when her daughter's cat, Nimzy, was found at her home when she didn't report to work on November 16.

"We do believe there is evidence of foul play". Trail also appears to cover his head, though the camera only ever shows his eyes from the angle that Boswell holds the recorder.

Sydney Loofe was "the kind of kid that you wanted in class", a former teacher recalled on Tuesday as the city mourned the young woman's death. "Everything left in her house, points that she was".

"We're continuing to speak with Aubrey Trail and we'll continue to do so as long as he's willing", Bliemeister said on Tuesday.

In a second video-posted Friday before the pair turned themselves into authorities following an arrest warrant accusing Trail of being a felon in possession of a firearm-Trail denied his and Boswell's involvement in Loofe's disappearance. Bliemeister said authorities thus far have been unable to confirm Boswell's timeline.

Loofe's disappearance prompted a widespread investigation involving the FBI, Lincoln police and multiple sheriff's offices.

The parents of missing U.S. woman Sydney Loofe set up a Facebook page called Finding Sydney Loofe.

Loofe's family did not say when or where her body was recovered. Meyer recalled that when the Loofe children were in high school, they would have a family movie night every Sunday and were regular attendees at the Lutheran church.

But prior to their arrests, Trail was posting several freaky videos online. 'She has a very good heart'. "We were planning to go to the casino that weekend", Boswell said. "Please continue to pray for Sydney and our entire family", the family wrote. "We'll still work toward that end, but again, the analysis of the (digital records) was what led us to the discovery of who we believe to be Sydney". May God allow everlasting rest unto thee. "Consequently they remain people of intrigue".
