Jimbo Fisher takes swipe at Florida State during Texas A&M intro

Nearly two years to the month after accepting his role as athletic director, Scott Woodward said what initially brought him to College Station was the amount chances to achieve an infinite amount of success in every program at A&M. Fisher especially was attracted to A&M because of Woodward, whom he had worked with before at LSU. And like I said, I had no plans of ever leaving there. "As we welcome one of the nation's top football coaches to our Aggie family". "Jimbo is among the best football coaches in America and a ideal fit for A&M", Woodward said in a statement.

"He is the right coach at the right time for Texas A&M", Texas A&M University Director of Athletics Scott Woodward declared. "As I researched, I thought it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up and a challenge out there I just couldn't pass up". There's a lot of excitement in College Station now, and Fisher is the reason.

Fisher is now on board in Aggieland and the work begins. Texas A&M has its man. According to Texas A&M chancellor John Sharp, yes, there are regrets, but not for the reasons one would think. "We haven't done anything for a long time here". Two people with direct knowledge of the decision say Fisher has resigned to take the same job at Texas A&M. There's a oneness to everything you do to be successful. "I knew [Woodward] had the same visions I did". He will replace Kevin Sumlin at Texas A&M. Fisher and Woodward share a vision.

"But in our life, there's opportunities out there you see. Your actions [traditions and culture] speak so loud I can't hear what everyone else is saying".

During his introductory press conference, Fisher was asked what he considered a reasonable timetable to transform A&M's football program good to great.

After 11 years at Florida State, eight as head coach, Fisher was lured to College Station to the tune of a 10-year, $75 million contract.

The contract would make him possibly the second highest-paid coach behind only Alabama's Nick Saban.

Young said he is always hesitant when he utilizes money from the university and its respective departments, regardless of the person. "We're going to strive for excellence every day".

Fisher had an 83-23 with the Seminoles and won the 2013 BCS national championship with a 14-0 record.

An FSU fan questioned coach Jimbo Fisher's loyalty to the Seminoles and was kicked out of the radio show audience Thursday night.

"Your expectations will never be greater than mine", Fisher said.
