Marvel's Jessica Jones is one of four epic live-action Netflix comic book adaptations of Marvel's street-level heroes - the others being Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.

Jessica Jones is absolutely the crown jewel in Netflix's stable of Marvel shows.

As exciting as it is to know Tennant's creepy villain is back for more this time round - and it makes sense, given the huge, awful role Kilgrave played in her life, that Jessica doesn't just immediately think she's done internally dealing with Kilgrave after snapping his neck - hopefully it's a return that facilitates more introspection and dives into Jessica's character.

Netflix announced Saturday that the second season of Marvel's Jessica Jones will launch on March 8, 2018.

The return helps flesh out Netflix's Marvel catalog, which still includes a number of single-season shows (although they nearly all have commitments for more episodes).

Despite being emphatically killed in the Season 1 finale, it was revealed in August that Doctor Who alum David Tennant would reprise his role as the mind-controlling villain Kilgrave for the second season of the Marvel/Netflix drama Jessica Jones. Moreover, while this initial trailer teases footage and a new story arc for Krysten Ritter's hard-drinking titular character, it also reveals when you'll be able to watch the new season: it premieres on March 8, 2018.

There's not much plot given away in the teaser trailer outside of Jessica being back on the case as a private investigator but she runs into the cops yet again after getting into a similarly sticky situation during "The Defenders". She tells the unknown person "if you say with great power comes great responsibility, I swear I'll throw up on you".

In all likelihood, Tennant's Purple Man will be a figment of Jessica's imagination, tormenting her at low points during Season 2. We could see how this would work in the second season. We can't wait to take it all in.
