Harlem Rapper Finally Meets His 81-Year-Old 'Words With Friends' Buddy

The friendship between a 22-year-old rapper and an 81-year-old woman is melting hearts all over the country.

Spencer is a 22-year-old from Harlem, New York. They are also years apart in age, Spencer is in his 20s and Roz is in her 80s.

'We played 300+ games together and she actually ended up becoming a good friend of mine.

"One night, a few months ago, they started a conversation about who their best friends were, and Spencer said, 'My best friend is an 80-year-old white woman who lives in a retirement community in Florida, ' and I said, 'What?,'" the Rev. Butler told The Root.

The pair has played over 300 games and formed a long-distance bond.

The trip was arranged by Amy Butler, a pastor at Manhattan's Riverside Church, who flew to Florida with the rapper.

"She was not crushing me [on Words with Friends]", he wrote in a tweet accompaniedby a screenshot of their gameplay stats. The tweet, along with the photos of the two hugging each other, has been liked one million times.

Ms Butler said she has used the example of their friendship in sermons, as Spencer is a friend of her daughter's. He was also quick to assure the public he was the clear victor among the duo, with 210 wins compared to Roz's 114.

Spencer was quick to shut down any rumours that Roz may be in the lead when it comes to their Words with Friends battles.
