Airtel says the Rs 1999 combo offer is valid only through November 7 to December 31 and is offering 10% cash back to its prepaid subscribers who recharge with Mastercard. From Rs 19 to Rs 9,999, Jio has many tariff plans for its subscribers.

So overall, under the Rs 349 plan - now - Airtel is offering 56GB data per month, unlimited calls and SMS benefits to another network. Now, this plan has been revised to offer 3 GB data per day, which means customers get a total of 84 GB data over the period of 28 days.

Now the situation is such that Airtel, Idea and Vodafone have learned the ways of cheap plan, unlimited data and voice calls to lure their customers just like Rjio. Now even telecom giant Bharti Airtel had also upgraded some of its prepaid plans.

The telecom sector is in the midst of an aggressive data price war as incumbent operators keep on launching attractive prepaid recharge plans to counter new comer Reliance Jio, which has been wooing customers with aggressive data offers. This plan comes bundled with 100 SMS (short message service) per day and can be used for non-commercial use only, said Airtel.

Reliance Jio, on the other hand, has a similar Rs 459 plan for prepaid customers.

Idea Cellular and Vodafone do not now have packs that offer more than 1.5 GB per day. It offers unlimited 4G data with 1GB FUP per day.

Highest on the list of Airtel is Rs 799 pack which gives 3.5GB per day for 28 days, followed by Rs 549 pack with 2.5GB per day for 28 days, Rs 448 pack with 1GB per day for 70 days and Rs 349 pack which provides 1.5GB per day for 28 days.

Airtel's Rs 1,999 combo plan offers unlimited voice calling for both local and STD calls along with outgoing in national roaming for 180 days. Jio Prime customers can avail Triple cashback of up to Rs 2500 with every recharge of Rs 399 or above done from 10th Nove to 15 Dec 2017. But Jio is still a favourite among many for its vast LTE coverage across the country, and yes, Airtel also has its strong footprint spread across the country.

Airtel is trying its level best to match up to Jio in nearly every way possible.
