All we can do at the moment is wait for Xiaomi to reveal more details about its upcoming smartphone! Named the Redmi 5A, Xiaomi is teasing the phone as a "desh ka smartphone", perhaps hinting that it will be a budget smartphone aimed at the masses.

Redmi India has teased the new upcoming smartphone, describing it as #DeshKaSmartphone. Additionally, the company also launched the Mi Power Bank 2i, a product that has been made in India. Examples of this include the Xiaomi Mi A1 and MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM. Or, it may be an offering that has already been launched. It has confirmed that the handset will be unveiled on November 30. This is due to the fact that Xiaomi's India MD has undertaken extensive traveling through the interiors of the country to study and understand the lifestyles of the rural folk and the new smartphone is expected to address several aspects of the precise needs these people have, in a smartphone. Thankfully, a new picture of the phone has now been published on China's Weibo, which shows off some of the Redmi Note 5's specifications.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A was launched in October last month in China in Champagne Gold, Platinum Silver Gray and Rose Gold colour options. Another factor pointing to the Redmi 5A as the smartphone to launch next week is its battery life - Xiaomi says it will offer a battery life up to 8 days, which is quite extraordinary. In terms of hardware specs, the Redmi 5A comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 720p resolution. Much like its predecessor, the new model is also powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, clocked at 1.4GHz, and coupled with 2GB of RAM. The dual-SIM smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery which seems to be a downgrade when compared to the 2016's Redmi 4A.
