New episodes of Saturday Night Live air every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. One of them was a spoofy music video that played on the likes of Boyz II Men and Jodeci, titled "Come Back Barack".

"I'm in hell, dreaming about you and Michelle", the song continues. Now things are looking bad.

This was the last episode before the show's Thanksgiving break, and as such, Chance proclaimed during his opening monologue that he wanted to be the "Mariah Carey of Thanksgiving". "I need you in my life, like really bad, like world war bad". Joined by Kenan Thompson and Chris Redd, the Boyz-II-Men-style song about how much they are missing the 44th president nearly one year into 45's first term.

Then in the next set of promos, Chance the Rapper finds himself caught in the middle of a possible rap battle between musical guest Eminem and cast member Leslie Jones who later both try to rename the SNL host. "I just want to say, shoutout to Drake and your whole team; shoutout to Future, everybody".

Chance the Rapper has quickly moved up the SNL ranks. The video begins as a familiarly wistful lament to a past flame that's moved on, but it's not until the song's first chorus that you realize who they're singing to: former President Barack Obama.
