President Donald Trump discounted allegations of sexual assault against Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore and said Tuesday that voters should not support Moore's "liberal" rival.

"I'm telling you we want the votes in the Senate to get this tax bill through", she replied.

At first Trump offered a standard attack on Jones as "terrible on borders, awful on the military".

Stopping short of a full-throated endorsement of Moore-Trump did endorse Moore's opponent Luther Strange in the Republican primaries-the president said he'd reveal more information about campaigning with the candidate next week. If you look at what is really going on and you look at all the things that have happened over the past 48 hours, he totally denies it.

President Trump all but endored Alabama Republican senate candidate Roy Moore, who has been accused of sexual assault and child sex abuse.

Dean Young, a strategist for Moore's campaign, said in an animated speech on Tuesday that the special election on December 12 will affect the course of the not only the country, but the world.

Several women have accused Moore of pursuing relationships with them as teenagers when he was in his 30s; one woman alleges she was 14 when a 32-year-old Moore initiated a sexual encounter with her.

"It's awful on military", Trump said. "He says it didn't happen". It's not surprising to see Trump join Republicans in Moore's state.

Even if you don't think it's been proven that Moore is a "pedophile", the authorities in Gadsden, Alabama, clearly thought he was a threat to the safety of minors peacefully shopping at a local mall.

"A lot of things are coming out, and I think that's good for our society, and I think it's very, very good for women, and I'm very happy a lot of these things are coming out, and I'm very happy it's being exposed", he said. "I think it's a very special time". More women have since spoken out with allegations of their own.

Alone with Corfman, Moore chatted with her and asked for her phone number, she says.
