Trader Joe's Products Being Recalled

Trader Joe's is recalling a variety of packaged salads over fears they could contain glass shards or pieces of plastic.

All Trader Joe's White Meat Chicken, Curried White Chicken Deli and Turkey Cranberry Apple salads with use by dates between November 10 and November 21 and USDA inspected code P-40299 have been removed from their shelves and destroyed.

Turkey cranberry salads sold in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon or Washington are at risk.

The grocery store issued the recall on Saturday, saying their White Meat Chicken Salad, Curried White Chicken Deli Salad and Turkey Cranberry Apple Salad may have "foreign matter" in them.

The good news is that all of the potentially risky products have already been removed from stores, so no future customers should be at risk.

The products also have an establishment number "P-40299" inside the USDA mark of inspection. Customers can return affected products to Trader Joe's for a full refund.

Trader Joe's said products with other "inspected" codes were not affected because they were created at separate sites.
