Top 10 Worst Arkansas Games Under Bret Bielema

Missouri waits to find out its bowl destination.

Arkansas was coming off a 31-7 "borderline erotic" win over Texas in the AdvoCare Texas Bowl, and everybody was talking about how Arkansas was trending up, up, up.

It took Arkansas less than a half an hour after the end of the game to dismiss Bielema, according to multiple reports-and it wasn't hard to see why.

Neither team put together much in the way of defense. Cromer Peoples told Bielema of his firing in the coach's office next to the visitor's locker room in Razorback Stadium, which Arkansas is using this season as its home while the stadium undergoes a $160-million renovation.

At the time of the score, which came late in the second quarter, Lock was 10-for-18 for 207 yards and three touchdowns. That is to say: The Razorbacks before Saturday had exactly one marginally meaningful win, over Ole Miss on October 28.

Bielema's exit came with much less fanfare on Friday when the former Wisconsin coach was sacked in a tiny corner office of Razorback Stadium - moments after the Razorbacks ended their disappointing season with a 48-45 loss to Missouri.

The win caps a remarkable turnaround from a 1-5 start to the season for the Tigers (7-5, 4-4 Southeastern Conference), who were led by quarterback Drew Lock's 448 yards passing and five touchdown passes. Sure, Arkansas dealt with a rash of injuries this season, but no matter the attrition, it didn't play up to expectations under Bielema this year-or in recent ones.
