Flanked by Piazza's parents, Centre County district attorney Stacy Parks Miller told reporters that 12 new defendants, as well as five old ones, were facing new criminal charges, including involuntary manslaughter, hazing and giving alcohol to minors.

"The Penn State Office of Student Conduct has completed the student conduct investigation and disciplinary process for 32 individuals related to the tragic death of Timothy Piazza at the now-banned Beta Theta Pi fraternity".

Included in the charges were three misdemeanors against Braxton Becker, the fraternity brother she accused of deleting the video February 6 right in front of police officers who had shown up to retrieve it. His attorney, Karen Muir, could not immediately be reached for comment.

Timothy Piazza, 19, of Lebanon, NJ, fell down a set of stairs and suffered fatal injuries in February after prosecutors said pledges were forced to down a risky amount of alcohol and were then made to run a "gauntlet" of booze-drinking stations. The new charges are based on surveillance footage that a frat brother had deleted. When one pledge tried to intervene, insisting they get Piazza some help, he was shoved into a wall and told the brothers had it under control.

According to the press conference in Bellefonte, the video shows Tim being given 18 drinks over a period of one hour and 22 minutes. Initially, 18 former Beta Theta Pi members faced charges in connection with Piazza's death, with prosecutors alleging many were involved in attempting to cover up the incident and "coordinate a story".

Piazza fell down basement steps during a night of excessive drinking, police said.

We all have proof of what happened on tape". "Guess what guys. Now we know. It's time to man-up fellas and be accountable for your actions".

According to Parks Miller, the basement video clearly shows a continuation of the hazing activity previously captured upstairs during the gauntlet.
