According to a benchmarking test, there is evidence that the Galaxy A series of phones, or more accurately, the Galaxy A5 2018 is going to be the first phone to get this particular change added to its metal chassis. However, a tipster from China has revealed that the company is also working on a compact-sized Infinity Display smartphone.

With Samsung expanding the Infinity Display into the 2018 edition of the Galaxy A5, it may be safe to assume that the Galaxy A7 (2018) will also come with the design.

Should Samsung launch a under 5-inch Infinity Display smartphone? As of now, there is no information about the pricing and availability of the Galaxy J3 (2018) smartphone.

Earlier, two different reports revealed the features and specifications of Samsung's 2018 devices - a flip phone named SM-W2018 and the Galaxy A (2018) series.

The 2018 version of the Samsung Galaxy A5 may feature an Infinity Display, the same display found on the Galaxy S8 handsets. The placement, however, was suggested to be below the camera, instead of beside it as seen in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8. That leak likewise claims that both phones will have an Infinity Display. Last but not least, Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) is likely to ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat on board and an improved Mali-G71 GPU (graphics processing unit).

In our review of the Galaxy A7 2017, we pointed out that the phone featured immaculate build quality, a wide camera aperture and even IP68 water-resistance, which is very impressive considering Samsung only brought these features to flagship smartphones.

Anyway, Samsung has also thought of some interesting uses for the second screen when the phone is folded.
