Pixel 2 XL: New problem prevents Google phone screen from registering touches

According to a user on the Pixel User Community forum, the Pixel 2 XL seems to have a few dead spots on the curved edges where it does not register touch input. However, it seems like the feature is just a bit too effective and nothing to do with the "squeeze" feature that invokes Google assistant. "Google is well aware of the issue, and a fix will be rolled out shortly", the spokesperson said.

Google's Community Manager Orrin Hancock responded to the unresponsive edge issue and stated that the product team had been investigating the problem and a future OTA update would address the flaw.
