The protesters have declared a bounty of Rs.50 lakh on filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the "Bajirao Mastani" star.

However, the SP of Chittorgarh Prashan Kumar Khamsera has said that the fort is not closed today officially to the tourist. "Elaborate security arrangements were made in view of the protest, which ended peacefully", Kumbhalgarh Circle Officer Chandan Singh said. That's not it. Lead actress Deepika was also attacked verbally with the members of The Shri Rajput Karni Sena calling her a naachnewaali and threatening to chop off her nose. Why? "She is a professional actor and hence, we have nothing against her", he said.

The Karni Sena has opposed the Sanjay Leela Bhansali- directed film, alleging it "distorts historical facts" and "hurts sentiments" of the Rajput community. After hearing this, a Thakur from Meerut has placed a similar bounty on Deepika too. Rani Ma Padmavati had sacrificed her life with 12,000 other women in mass immolation (Jauhar), and Bhansali has raised a question on her courage by showing her in bad light in his film. Women of the Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha, under the "Veerangana team" will also hit the roads in Saturday's protest.

The film, starring Deepika Padukone as Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, has triggered protests by Rajput groups in different parts of the country, especially in Rajasthan.

Global star Deepika Padukone, who is embroiled in controversy because of her upcoming film "Padmavati", has got support from her "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" co-star Ruby Rose. Accusing the ruling party in state and at the Centre of double speak, he said that while BJP leaders were opposing the movie, the Union ministers were saying that there will be no problem in releasing the movie.
