The 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is being filmed in Shanghai, and there's no shortage of fantastic models walking in the highly anticipated runway show-even though fan-favorite Gigi Hadid dropped out last minute.

Previously, Perry also came under fire in Australia, after she appeared in an advert which sees the singer telling her dog to "go chase some koalas".

On November 16, Gigi Hadid regretfully shared the news that she, too, would have to put her Angel wings on ice. "Can't wait to tune in with everyone to see the handsome show I know it will be, and already can't wait for next year!"

It was not immediately clear whether Hadid had been denied a visa.

Earlier this year, the model was called out for "discrimination" after a video of her seemingly imitating Buddha's appearance surfaced online. Hadid didn't share an explicit reason for the abrupt change in plans - and Victoria's Secret is not talking - but the announcement spurned speculation that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter had run into problems acquiring a visa, too. Many including ulia Belyakova, Kate Grigorieva and Irina Sharipova from Russian Federation, as well as Dasha Khlystun from Ukraine were all denied the requisite visa.

Executive Producer of the show, Ed Razek, is clearing up the rumors about the visa situation. Representatives from the models' agencies and Victoria's Secret declined to comment on the situation or did not respond INSIDER's requests for comment.

It's unclear why Victoria's Secret thought hosting a lingerie show in Shanghai, China, was a good idea. "This will, without question, be the biggest fashion event in history".
