After the commercial success of WatchDogs 2 a year ago this month, Ubisoft made a decision to give Watch Dogs Free through UPlay For A limited time for members of their UPlay service. Make sure to follow this link to qualify! There is just one proviso; you need to have a UPlay account and sign in to claim the game and download it.

Watch Dogs was originally released in 2014 and tells the story of a skilled hacker named Aiden Pearce in a near-future Chicago.

The game's reception undoubtedly turned some people away - while not lambasted by any stretch, the game could not live up to its original E3 reveal. Polygon said that "as a hybrid open-world stealth-action game, it's in a class by itself". Watch Dogs is decent, but as the first entry into the series it's still trying to find its niche and its style, and as a result it's a little bland and all too repetitive. This is a unusual way to handle free copies of a game, but I assume that it is so the company can count the free unlocks easier. While on the hunt for those responsible, you will be able to tap into the city's omnipresent security cameras, download personal information, control systems such as traffic lights and the electrical grid to stop a chase, and more'. You'll have access to the game for free (forever) starting November 7 and running throughout November 13, where you can add it to your collection for the foreseeable future. As soon as you confirm that, Watch Dogs is yours to keep.
