On Tuesday, CBS announced that the Grammy Award victor will join Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood as a new full-time host.

As for Eve's predecessor, Tyler is expected to return to The Talk from time to time as a guest host when her schedule permits. However, she was ready to embark on a different path in her career.

The Grammy-winning artist, real name Eve Jeffers Cooper, guest hosted during the week of October 30, and it looks like the studio liked her performance, because they asked her on to replace Aisha Tyler.

Eve said when she was first approached about the new gig, she thought it was ideal but admitted that she had to think about it.
