Cooling temperatures and approaching rain chances

Temperatures will drop to the upper 40s and low 50s by Wednesday morning, with cloudy skies and light rain for the morning commute.

Tuesday will start out dry with mostly cloudy skies, then an area of low pressure will bring rain mainly after 3 PM. Temperatures will only rise to the mid 40s before an overnight low in the lower 30s.

An isolated shower is possible early tonight as a cold front slides through the area.

Partly cloudy, brisk and turning much chillier.

A break from the rain and snow will move in Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday may only be in the middle to lower 60s. I expect 3PM temperatures to be around 43 degrees, which would technically make our midnight temperature the "high" or highest temperature of the day. This will keep skies partly cloudy, switch winds to the northeast at 5-10 miles per hour and cool lows to the upper 40s/ low 50s. Temperatures will stay below average all week with some of the coldest air of the season yet moving in Friday. Any spotty showers out there will taper off as we head into the afternoon.

Thursday will have partly sunny skies and milder temperatures approaching 60. Mostly clear tonight with lows in the mid 20s.

Today will be a near copy of Monday with a mix of clouds and sun. Saturday night a weak cold front will begin to move into the region.

Monday might be the warmest it gets until next week.
