Carrie Underwood Hospitalized After Breaking Her Wrist, Suffers Multiple Injuries

Country music star Carrie Underwood is recovering after reportedly breaking her wrist in a fall outside her home in Nashville, Tennessee.

The doctors made a decision to release her from the hospital not long after they put a cast on her wrist.

The rep added that Underwood's husband Mike Fisher, 37, "was able to make it back into town that night to be with her and she was released from the hospital".

The country superstar, according to a representative, broke her wrist and suffered some cuts and abrasions.

On Sunday, Underwood took to social media to thank fans for their well wishes.

Due to her injuries, Underwood is unable to play the Country Rising benefit concert Sunday night at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

"Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody", the "Jesus Take the Wheel" singer wrote.

At this year's 51st annual CMAs, where seven-time Grammy Award victor Underwood had been nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, she and Paisley somberly addressed the horrific recent events. Underwood said she's grateful for her compassionate husband.
