Arsene Wenger does not doubt star forward's desire to play

Arsène Wenger has urged Gareth Southgate to include Jack Wilshere in his England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Germany and Brazil. He was not three weeks ago, but he is ready now.

"I think that Jack is ready [for England]", Wenger said.

Debuchy made his first appearance since November past year during last month's 1-0 win at Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League and played 120 minutes in last week's League Cup victory over Norwich.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he has faith in Alexis Sanchez and has no concerns about playing him against Manchester City, in their next game. I have the same problem [in terms of selection], but in every single competition he is ready to play.

"I must say he's 100 per cent a professional player". Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud will also feature in a team that is a mix of youth and experience. I would encourage [Southgate] to do it.

When asked if Wilshere needed to be treated differently to other players due to his history of injuries, Wenger replied: "No".

Arsenal, who are top of Group H with three wins from as many games, will rotate their squad for Thursday's clash with Red Star with one eye on Sunday's Premier League game against leaders Manchester City.

The boss added: "We are all very pleased for him here because he has gone through some very hard moments with setbacks".

"Both of the teams do well, even in training when they play against each other", the Frenchman told a press conference yesterday. "I must say I am pleased with the quality of our performances in every single competition".

It's been an unlikely success story of the season as Mathieu Debuchy has returned to the Arsenal first-team in cup competitions. They have not won back-to-back away matches in European competition since November 1991 (a run of four), en route to winning the European Cup.
