A second woman is accusing Al Franken of sexual misconduct - this time, when he was a Democratic senator from Minnesota. She also provided a photo showing Franken apparently groping her while she slept. Franken already faced a Senate ethics investigation over Tweeden's allegation, but the Menz allegation is potentially more damaging for Franken because it would be behavior that occurred while he was in office.

Franken is now speaking out about the alleged encounter, insisting he doesn't remember taking a photo with Menz. Tweeden's claim that Franken forced a kiss on her and groped her happened before he was elected.

When she met Franken, she said she had a short exchange with the senator and lined up with him to take a photo.

Lindsay Menz explained that Al Franken, elected in 2008 in the Senate, he had put a hand to the butt while he posed with it for a photo taken by her husband at a fair in Minnesota. She added, "It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek".

"It wasn't around my waist. It wasn't around my hip or side", Menz said. "It was definitely on my butt", she told CNN, recalling that the brazen act lasted three or four seconds. "I was like, 'Oh my God, what's happening?'"

The woman, Lindsay Menz, said the incident with Franken was "uncomfortable" and made her feel "gross", CNN reported.

In a statement Sunday to CNN, Franken said he did not remember taking the photo with Menz and that he felt "badly" that she felt disrespected. Tweeden, who is now a morning news anchor on KABC Radio in Los Angeles, said it took place back stage when the two were practicing their lines for a skit written by Franken, who was then a comedian.

Franken's office says that the senator has no recollection about his interaction with Menz, but it said that he felt sorry that she came away from their interaction feeling disrespected. Menz also said she posted the photo with Franken on Facebook on August 27, and when her sister commented on the photo, she replied: "Dude - Al Franken TOTALLY molested me!"
