The unsafe quest to join what's known as the "Mile High Club" has landed two more people in hot water.

Officials arrested a 48-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man after she performed oral sex on him mid-flight Sunday, according to NBC Detroit affiliate WDIV.

Both were issued citations, and an FBI investigation is underway, the station reports.

The pair are both facing charges ranging from a misdemeanor to a felony, said agents.

There is a time and place for everything, and in this case, an airplane is not one of them.

Neither has been named but the pair are both now facing charges from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Delta Airlines refused to make any comments about the incident, while research continues. "The embarrassment is probably the biggest punishment they can receive".

A spokesperson for the Detroit Metro Airport confirmed to the Detroit Free Press that the duo was taken into custody upon landing, but that the FBI took over the investigation in a nearby building.

Detroit's former FBI Chief Andy Arena said he has never seen anything like this.

Tracey Stulberg, who works at a Birmingham Family Therapy clinic specializing in sex therapy, told WXYZ that the passengers were not only engaging in "selfish" and "unacceptable" behavior, but also said that not even her patients would do something like this.
