The Las Vegas 'heroes' who helped save victims of deadly attack

Heather, a surgeon, and Sonny, a surgical nurse, worked together in the same operating room back at their home in Tennessee. Lisa Romero, 48 years old, was a secretary, loved all the high school Gallup, new Mexico.

Investigators believe he fired down on the crowd of 22,000 people across the street at the Route 91 Harvest festival as country singer Jason Aldean was taking the stage.

On Monday, Heather Gulish Melton said she was not yet ready to open up about what she went through. The Manhattan Beach Unified School District said Casey was "loved by students and colleagues alike and will be remembered for her sense of humor, her passion for her work, her devotion to her students, and her commitment to continuing her own learning".

Thomas Gee, CEO at Henry County Medical Center, said in a statement, "The thoughts and prayers of the entire HCMC family are with Sonny and Heather's families".

Heather Melton said in a statement to the Nashville station that her husband "saved my life and lost his". "He grabbed me and started running when I realized that he was getting a shot in his back, "she told aloud" WSMV ".
