Snapchat Now Lets You Book Uber, Find Restaurants

When swiping up on a snap, users can see additional info that's automatically populated from a growing number of partners, including TripAdvisor, FourSquare, Uber, and more.

'As we learn more about how to improve Context Cards, we will be adding more partners and additional information'.

They're essentially adverts, which are created to display information about businesses, venues and places, and make it easier for you to visit or make a booking with them. Context Cards display information about the Snap you're viewing and can be displayed by a swipe up. For now, you can access Context Cards by swiping up on any Snap that says "more" at the bottom.

The Context Cards will provide information like reviews, maps and tips about whatever you're watching on the app.

Snapchat will also make it easier to book ride-hailing services such as Uber and Lyft - when you click on directions, for example, you'll be presented with an option to book a auto.

You will be able to book a table through the app partnered with Bookatable and hail a ride through the app partnered with Uber.

Context Cards will evolve over time, as Snapchat receives feedback from users who put the feature through its paces. Take a look at the video below for more details.

The Context Cards will always show you have most relevant information first. That includes reviews, maps, contact info, reservations, and even an option to call a ride to the restaurant or store.

The popular photo-sharing app now has around 166 million users globally.

More than 60% of their users spend on average 30 minutes a day on the app. According to a report in the Evening Standard, Snapchat users faced brief disruption in sending snaps, receiving notifications and logging into their account.
