Qualcomm perks up the mid-range with Snapdragon 636 SoC

Interestingly, the release of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 will make many mobile phone industry observers think about Xiaomi's upcoming Redmi Note 5 for one big reason, whether there is a possibility of the device to come with the new mobile platform. This Quick Charge 4 feature will charge your device in no time. It also has the Hexagon 680 DSP with support for Qualcomm's All-Ways Aware technology, the Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine SDK, and caffe/caffe2 plus TensorFlow for machine learning applications. The new chipset holds 8 Kryo 260 cores. It also carries the Qualcomm X12 LTE modem, boasting of download speeds at 600Mbps.

Qualcomm Technologies has unveiled the successor to the popular to mid-tier Snapdragon 630 processor. It can capture 4K video at 30FPS, and 1080p video at up to 120FPS. The bump in these sections is primarily meant to support the additional real estate of the display. Since the competition in the technology market is very high, many smartphone manufacturers may welcome this new Snapdragon 636 Chipsets to manufacturer more smartphones. These reference designs are not meant to be lovely, as they are just a testbed for how mobile makers use the technology. The company says the new mobile chipset will bring with it significant improvements across performance, gaming, and display.
