New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham was injured in the fourth quarter of the team's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo said Monday he spoke with Beckham and referred to his injury as a "sad situation".

The Giants also announced that Dwayne Harris would undergo surgery on Tuesday to fix his fractured foot.

Meanwhile, Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard both sprained their ankles. According to reports, Beckham will get a second opinion before deciding on surgery to fix the ankle, which is the same one that he injured during the preseason.

Beckham suffered a fracture in his ankle in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss as the Giants fell to 0-5 on the year.

As far as any long-term effect to Beckham's health, McAdoo said he has not gotten into any of that.

Beckham Jr, 24, landed awkwardly in a heavy challenge late on as his side were defeated 27-22 - their fifth loss from five games this season. NY quickly starting adding more bodies on Monday - the team promoted Travis Rudolph from their practice squad and they are expected to bring back Tavarres King. "Next man up. Hate to see it but it's part of the game".
