New evidence now raises the prospect that the shooter who terrorized the Route 91 Harvest Festival may have considered other targets, including the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago's Grant Park and the Life Is Beautiful festival in downtown Las Vegas.

Boston law enforcement said it's aware of the reports but deferred to Las Vegas police when it pertained to further information on the investigation.

TMZ reports its sources say Paddock had never booked a room at the hotel before, nor had his girlfriend and that neither showed up for the August booking.

The report states Stephen Paddock had booked two rooms at the Blackstone Hotel on Michigan Avenue, one for August 1 - two days before the annual music festival began - and another for August 3, which was opening day.

The Blackstone Hotel is located at 636 S Michigan Ave, directly across the street from Chicago's Grant Park where the annual musical festival is held. This year the festival began on August 3 and finished on August 6.

Among the attendees at this year's Lollapalooza was former President Barack Obama's oldest daughter Malia, and acts on stage included The Killers, Chance the Rapper, Muse and Lorde.

The gunman behind the Las Vegas shooting massacre may have considered staging attacks in other cities, according to multiple reports. ABC News also reported Paddock's hotel reservation. "The Boston Regional Intelligence Center is in contact with our local and federal law enforcement partners here and in Las Vegas and continues to monitor the situation".
