Siti Aisyah of Indonesia and Doan Thi Huong of Vietnam have pleaded not guilty to charges they smeared the nerve agent VX on Kim's face.

Dr Norashikin Othman, from the Pathology Department of the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, who conducted the analysis on Kim Chol's enzyme sample said the level of cholinesterase was low at 344 units per liter (UL).

Shah said no next-of-kin had identified the body, and he had only Kim's DNA and none from a relative, so he could not do a DNA matching test.

In his post-mortem report, Shah concluded that Kim died of VX nerve agent poisoning.

He also said Subramaniam was inconsistent and shouldn't be afraid to open the VX-tainted samples since he testified VX could easily be washed off and doesn't evaporate quickly.

The post mortem report, made available to the media, said that VX was detected on swabs of Kim Jong Nam's eyes and face, in the blood, plasma and urine.

When asked by deputy public prosecutor Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin on the meaning of precursor and degradation elements against VX, Raja said the elements confirmed the presence of VX substance.

Jong Nam, the eldest son of former North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, arrived in Malaysia on Feb 6, and was at the klia2 to board a 9am flight to Macau on the day he was killed.

At least eight North Korean ships that left Russian Federation with fuel cargoes this year have returned home despite officially declaring other destinations, a ploy USofficials say is often used to undermine sanctions against Pyongyang.

Putin has repeatedly said sanctions against the communist state are "useless" and will not deter it from developing nuclear weapons. She disagreed with a defense assertion that as little as 10 milligrams of VX, just a tiny drop, would be lethal to humans.

He said VX will degrade once it is exposed to the atmosphere, and even faster when it is in contact with water, leaving degraded products of VX.

During cross-examination by Huong's lawyer, Shah said the autopsy was delayed a day "because of protest from the embassy". Part of the expunged section says that two females wiped Kim's face with a "dangerous fluid" at the airport.

"Waking up one morning and deciding he wants to nuke" Los Angeles is not something Kim Jong Un is likely to do, Lee said.

The nerve agent is banned by an global treaty as a weapon of mass destruction.

North Korea has a history of ordering killings of people it views as threats to its regime and its chemical weapons arsenal is believed to include VX.

Both the Indonesian and Vietnamese governments have hired lawyers to defend the women.

Lee did not speculate what North Korea might do, though it frequently carries out missile launches or nuclear tests on major state anniversaries, such as the birthday of leader Kim Jong-un or other dates associated with the lives of his father or grandfather. Kim Jong-Un either anxious that his half-brother would someday represent a threat or even (the film suggests) was anxious that the Central Intelligence Agency might adopt Kim Jong-Nam as a pretender to the throne and use him to make trouble.
