First New Mutants Teaser Trailer Debuting Tomorrow

The series would run for 100 issues an eventually lead to X-Force, another project on the slate from the Fox franchise.

Created in 1982 by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod as a spinoff of the X-Men, The New Mutants were meant to be a reset for Marvel's world of heroic-yet-feared mutants.

Charlie Heaton plays Sam Guthrie a.k.a. Cannonball, a mutant who has the ability of flight. Because the first trailer has just arrived a whopping six months before the release of the film - giving Fox plenty of lead time for audiences to calibrate their expectations away from typical superhero fare - and it is plenty horror. The cast and crew of New Mutants wrapped filming in early September, after beginning production in July in Boston, Massachusetts, so the movie has had a rather quick production schedule.

While Marvel Studios dominated the comic-movie landscape this year will as many as three feature releases. On top of that, she actually has a familial connection to the "X-Men": Her brother is Colossus.

Created by Chris Claremont and artist Bob McLeod the film is directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars), the New Mutants follows a group of young mutants who are discovering their powers while trapped in a secret facility.

Coming back to the trailer, it will give you chills down your spine and leave you with the hunger for more of it. As Alice Braga voice goes on, one sees nicely edited shots of the film in which every classic horror trope is liberally used.

It remains for us to wait until April 2018 to whether this passage by the cinema thrillers will be able to regenerate the franchise X-Men.
