Danny Rose and Erik Lamela have returned to Tottenham training ahead of their next Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

Left-back Rose has not kicked a ball in anger since January after he picked up a knee ligament problem in the 0-0 draw with Sunderland last season.

It is understood that the defender has his eyes set on a move to Old Trafford before the World Cup in Russian Federation in the upcoming summer as he wants to play under Mourinho as soon as possible.

The England global caused a storm earlier in the summer when criticising the club's transfer policy and wage structure, but immediately received the backing of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino who insisted the player remained in his plans.

Mourinho is already preparing a £45m move for Rose but Chelsea will be hoping to offer something similar, which means it will be down to Rose to decide.

However, he suffered a knee injury back in January and has not played since.

It is believed that this Premier League and global footballer wants a move to Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.

Rose penned his latest deal with the north London club back in September 2016 and a departure from Spurs seemed unlikely as he excelled in the first half of last season.

But Manchester United have made it clear he is on their wanted list and Rose knows he can double his wages at Old Trafford. He is super-quick, brilliant at overlaps and on a different level to the club's lengthy roster of left-backs, who include Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind.
