Call of Duty: WWII will pump visuals in glorious 4K Ultra high definition resolution with the magic of High Dynamic Range (HDR) on Xbox One X. Phil Spencer was asked by a fan on Twitter the following question: "Hey Phil, can we expect Fable anniversary to go backwards compatible with Xbox One any time soon?" The Xbox One X will hit shelves on November 7.

It's no secret that Sony aren't big advocates of enabling cross-platform with the Xbox One, this shows it's an easy feature to implement and hopefully Sony realise how awesome true cross-platform play would be.

At the time, the business had just gone through a lacklustre release of the overpriced Xbox One and some investors were calling for Nadella to get out of gaming entirely.

Unfortunately, there's been no further word on those "leaked" original Xbox backwards compatible games that were spotted on the Gamespot website.

Fortnite, an upcoming free-to-play co-op survival game developed by Epic Games recently showcased that cross-play between PS4 and Xbox One players is possible, although not all is as it seems. In fact, the program now contains over 400 games. Of course, with Reddit being Reddit, users did some digging and found out that it wasn't a hoax - the user was confirmed to be playing on Xbox One and not PC as speculated by some. Xbox One X Enhanced is about the support for the console.

Quite a few games are already announced which will receive an HDR and 4K update for the Xbox One X.

Likewise, new Xbox Live achievements won't be coming either, since according to Spencer doing so would require patching every game, which is never going to happen.

"One of the features that we have on the Xbox One X is called supersampling, and it scales down all of the 4K data and image quality to a 1080p screen".

Xbox has gained a seat at Microsoft's most important table. "So even if you haven't upgraded to a 4K TV, there's still a bunch of reasons to get an Xbox One X, and it's still gonna be the best place to play the best versions of the games".
