The smartphone is now available for pre-bookings in India, and will start shipping to users from September 21 - which is when it also becomes available.

Although Samsungs flagship device Galaxy Note 7 witnessed a sad demise a year ago owing to exploding batteries, users in India still trust the brand and nearly two-third of Note users say they would consider buying the new Note device. If you don't remember, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was first announced at the company's Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event in NY.

Samsung will push its own new features and will come up with all the bugs and other issues fixes in the official Android 8.0 Oreo update for its newly released high end Android smartphones. Not only did it damage Samsung's brand value globally, it also resulted in a number of recalls resulting in billions of dollars of losses for the company. HDFC credit card holders will get a cashback of Rs. 4000 with the purchase of the phone. Interestingly, the tech giant has also launched some other offers but the eye-ball grabber for buyers is the 448GB 4G free data plan on Reliance Jio. The phone also has the IP68 rating for making it water resistant and dust resistant.

Samsung has also improved the bundled stylus, known as S Pen. If you want to see Samsung's S Pen in action, visit the #GalaxyLife event happening now until September 14.

This is cool and all, don't get us wrong, but the fact of the matter is that most video content that you will be consuming on your flashy new bezel-less Note 8 will be of the non-HDR variety.

Live Message on Galaxy Note8 allows you to tell expressive stories and you can now share animated texts or drawings across platforms that support GIFs. The Korean company has also announced a Samsung Upgrade Program where old Galaxy Note devices can be exchanged for new ones to avail discounts.

Technically speaking, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes equipped with a enormous 6.3-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1440 × 2960 pixels.

The "Always On Display" allows Galaxy users to stay on top of their notifications without unlocking their phone. Further, the display is protected by a scratch resistance Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and certified by the UHD Alliance as Mobile HDR Premium. Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 8 features an Exynos 8895 Octa octa core processor with 6GB RAM. The phone will run on a customised version of Android 7.1.2 Nougat. This consists of one 12-megapixel sensor coupled with a wide-angle lens, Dual Pixel autofocus, an f/1.7 aperture, and optical image stabilisation. The camera is equipped with different modes including Live focus, food mode, pro mode, panorama and slow motion.

The front, in the case of the Galaxy Note 8, is clean and without any physical buttons. Bloomberg's report from 2016 claimed that Samsung was working on two types of foldable devices: one that folds inwards like a clamshell phone, and another that folds out to turn into a 7-inch tablet. Galaxy Note 8's design is nearly similar to that of Galaxy S8+. The future foldable phone is meant to sit in the same Galaxy Note portfolio line-up, according to his comments.
