Horan is releasing his first solo album called "Flicker" on Capitol Records on October 20.

Niall Horan turned 24 yesterday (September 13), but because he's such a sweetheart, *he's* doing the gift-giving by sharing a belated birthday present: the announcement of his debut album.

Niall is now on his own solo tour and he deliberately picked smaller venues to give his shows a more intimate feel.

The One Direction star tweeted to his fans to give away the hotly anticipated date.

Niall adds that "Flicker", the song, changed his mind about where the album was headed.

Niall Horan will perform at the Walmart AMP in 2018, officials announced today.

The singer has steadily built hype for the album with singles "This Town" and "Slow Hands", which peaked at No. 20 and No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.

'It's a very special song to me and I hope you like it, ' he said. His latest single, "Too Much To Ask", was co-written with long-time collaborator Jamie Scott. The two will jet off to cities all throughout the USA, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Canada to perform in front of thousands of fans after the release of Horan's debut solo record.
