Miss Texas Just Condemned White Supremacy Better Than Donald Trump Ever Has

The Miss America pageant finished up today and sure, considering the state of the country right now, I guess it makes sense the show had a portion about Neo-Nazis!

Even as the media continues to take every chance to forgive and forget Donald Trump's betrayal of everything that America stands for, other institutions step up to do their job for them, including. the Miss America pageant? He also said that there are "some very fine people" on both sides. During the final round of competition, Houston's 22-year-old Margana Wood was asked about the president's response to the recent horrific events in Charlottesville.

"I think that the white supremacist issue, it was very obvious, that it was a terrorist attack", Wood told People's Jess Cagle.

Wood only had 20 seconds to come up with a clear and concise answer, and she was more than up for the challenge. "That is the number one issue right now".

Inclusivity seemed to be one of Woods' core values throughout the competition as she called her platform "You Belong" and used it to champion equality and inclusion, HuffPost reports.

As far as I can tell it involves standardly attractive women who wear nice clothes and do some sort of talent on stage, and answer questions about serious world issues and world peace, usually only crossing over into mainstream news if they say something extremely dumb or incorrect.

Pageant questions and answers can often be cringe-worthy blunders, but in this case Wood's bold answer was admired.
