"Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone", reads the synopsis for the series.

Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle was by far the best thing about Daredevil season 2-I started skipping ahead to scenes where he was featured-and the performance was so well-received that Bernthal and Frank got a show all their own.

Netflix is getting us super psyched for its Punisher series, with a new teaser and poster that suggests the show will focus on bureaucratic cover ups and Frank Castle's military history.

The new synopsis (below) teases a conspiracy that is deeper than it may first appear.

Hoping that the series will come at the height of her senior Daredevil , who we had by the same occasion introduit the character death's head, the series will be a priori the most dark and violent world of superbonhommes in tights of the platform.

Having taken his revenge against those who stole the lives of his wife and child, Frank uncovers a new conspiracy running much deeper than New York's criminal underworld.

Netflix is yet to announce the exact release date for The Punisher.

The teaser gives us a few tantalising snippets of what we can expect from the series.

The cast also includes Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as David Lieberman, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott and Michael Nathanson.
