Leon County solid waste pick up resumes today

They stated that "Waste Management does not collect storm debris unless it's in a Waste Management receptacle during normal collection pickup". If you are normally scheduled for either recycling or trash pick up Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (September 13-15), those will be picked up.

- Regular trash and recycling pickup will resume on Wednesday, Sept. 13, with those whose trash pickup date was this Monday.

Yard waste doesn't need to be bundled.

Yard debris will not be picked up by Waste-Pro, but residents may drop off yard debris at the solid waste facility on Apalachee Parkway.

In a release Tuesday, the city announced its plans for waste collection in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

Place storm debris at the curb, not in the road.

Only debris generated by the storm event on maintained residential property is eligible for collection. Recycling collection has been suspended. Spoiled contents should be placed in garbage for pickup.

Yard waste collection will be suspended until vegetative storm debris has been collected. Mixing chemicals with your other debris creates a fire hazard.
