He's already beat prostate cancer.

Larry King has been secretly fighting lung cancer this year.

King, 83, told the celebrity magazine that he first learned he had cancer during a routine doctor's visit. The 83-year-old TV host received the terrifying news during a routine visit to the doctors, where he was told that "something looks amusing". "They said the spot looked pretty small".

"They said I was lucky and smart to get annual chest x-rays, because lung cancer doesn't give you any signs until it's in late stages", King said.

"They showed me my latest chest X-ray, which is all clear", he said proudly.

King's doctors allowed him to go on a two-week European speaking tour before he returned to have surgery to remove the malignant tumor.

King is now opening up about the diagnosis and secret surgery with the hope of encouraging others to get regular checkups.

King doesn't have any plans to slow down either.

On his general wellbeing, Larry said defiantly: "I have beaten so many things health-wise to feel this good now. I have no plans to retire", King said. "I've never ever felt better than I do now". Larry King Now, which just kicked off its sixth season, airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at
