Kairi Sane has won WWE's first ever Mae Young Classic.

Ronda Rousey explains how she feels about ex-UFC fighter Shayna Baszler's performance in WWE's Mae Young Classic tournament and how The Four Horsewomen came about, although she shied away from talking about herself and her own future. The finals put "The Pirate Princess" Kairi Sane up against "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler.

By contrast, Baszler essentially bulldozed through her opponents on the way to the final, winning each time with the MMA-style chokehold.

Though they approach competition with different outlooks, Sane and Baszler now find themselves in the same spot, as finalists in WWE's groundbreaking women's tournament.

"I've been in the combat sport long enough to know that the friends that stick by you in your losses are the real ones, everybody wants to stand by you at the top of the hill", said Baszler. Sportskeeda is reporting that the victor was changed at the last minute by Vince McMahon because Sane has already been signed to a WWE deal, but Baszler has not. "On Nov. 18 at the Toyota Center at the next NXT TakeOver, Kairi will be fighting to determine a new NXT women's champion".

The NXT Women's Championship was vacated at the last set of television tapings when it was announced that Asuka would be coming up to the main roster.
