The fight on September 16 in Las Vegas between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, from Mexico, and Gennady "GGG" Golovkin, from Kazakhstan, will be different, promises Oscar De La Hoya, whose Golden Boy Promotions is the fight promoter. For Golovkin, the fight is the culmination of a long battle to establish himself as the top middleweight in the world.

"Golovkin has the style to force the best out of you".

A fighter who is not only undefeated, but never has been knocked down, the 35-year-old Kazakhstani-born pugilist took the boxing realm by storm from his days as an amateur and Olympic silver medalist.

Here, Sportsmail takes a look at the two fighters' five biggest fights during their careers to date.

Golovkin (37-0, 33 knockouts) has been established as a 2-1 favorite over Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 knockouts) in a bout that was several years in the making.

KAZINFORM Kazinform shows pictures and videos of the official weigh-in procedure of Kazakhstan's boxer Gennady "GGG" Golovkin vs. But this is as much a pick 'em fight as one can ever have. This means that fans of the sports are looking forward to see the outcome of the upcoming sold-out match between the two middleweight fighters. If he wants to stand toe-to-toe I will not back down. "It all depends on who lands the punch that defines the fight and I think Gennady is going to do that", said Abel Sanchez, Golovkin's trainer.

Jacobs was unable to stay up for the entire fight, suffering a fourth-round knockdown, but he showed it's possible to fight Golovkin without getting annihilated, and he even outboxed his opponent in a few rounds.

Golden Boy Promotions boss Oscar de la Hoya said the Canelo-GGG fight will be his gold medal as a promoter.

Golovkin has wanted a prize fight with a premium purse for years. "It's not an easy fight for him or me", Golovkin said.

"I'm so excited about this fight". While Canelo's size, resiliency and counter punches will make it challenging for Golovkin to find the finish, its GGG's sustained pressure and punching volume that damage Alvarez enough to lead to the stoppage, but not before Golovkin's chin is put to the ultimate test. I'm fit enough now to fight 15 rounds, every minute of every round.

- Canelo is fighting for the coveted "lineal" middleweight championship for the third time, winning on both previous occasions against Khan and Miguel Cotto. "I am the boss, not Canelo". There is no time to write the details as you see everything.
