George Strait's benefit concert for Harvey victims to take place Tuesday

As people brace for Hurricane Irma's impact, Texans are just beginning the process of rebuilding from Harvey.

A string of stars including Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey and Justin Bieber will help raise money for hurricane relief efforts tonight in a Hand in Hand telethon set to broadcast on all broadcast networks, Bravo, E!, MTV, Oxygen, HBO, BET and CMT.

The one-hour special called "Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief" will air live on CBS2 tonight, September 12, at 8 p.m. ET.

The telethon will air from Los Angeles, but there will be stages in NY and Nashville, Tennessee. The special can be seen internationally via live stream on Facebook and Twitter at 8 p.m. EDT Tuesday.

George Strait will do a live performance at the end of the show from San Antonio, Texas at the Majestic Theatre which he announced August 28.

George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, Dennis Quaid, Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Ryan Seacrest, Michael Strahan, Kelly Rowland, George Strait, Reese Witherspoon and others will participate with taped or live messages.

It will benefit several organizations, including the United Way of Greater Houston, Habitat for Humanity and Save the Children. Donations will be handled through the Hand in Hand Relief Fund and can be sent via text, phone and online up to an hour after the telethon ends. On the same night, George Strait is hosting a concert in San Antonio, Texas, featuring Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton and more, and portions of the show will be featured during the Hand in Hand telethon.
